Mambo No. 5

I got up this morning kind of down, and had plans to write about the Yankees, winners of 7 straight and 7-3 in their last 10.

Then I read the Globe's Michael Holley and one of the best Red Sox fan feel good pieces I've seen in a long time:

The Sox lost yesterday's game to the White Sox, 3-1, so the region is not teeming with positively. It should be. A serious division race is on the way. The Yankees should have a 10-game lead right now. They have had their regular team in place while the Sox have been surviving with backups (The Boston Globe).

I need to remind myself to look at the situation that way.

Meanwhile, 1:05pm can't get here soon enough. Even if Nomar goes oh-fer and the Red Sox lose this afternoon, there is more to cheer than bemoan.
